Studying Social Psychology at Viaa

Planning & prerequisites
Social Psychology is an advanced level course, open to 2nd-4th year students, who have followed a basic introduction course about Psychology. This course will be offered during the spring semester of each academic year.
What you will learn
During the Social Psychology course at Viaa, you get an overview of theory and concepts regarding the self, social perception, intergroup relations, attitudes, social perception, close relationships, prosocial behaviour and aggression. Next to this, you will learn how these theories can be translated into everyday life when working on interventions. Social Psychology is a second-fourth year course and will be offered during the spring semester. During the course, you will have lectures, group work with research projects, readings and in-class presentations.
