Studying Intercultural Explorations at Viaa

With the Intercultural Explorations course at Viaa, you will learn to develop an attitude of global citizenship. You will become more aware of your own culture, the influences on your worldview and your intercultural sensitivity.

Planning & prerequisites

Intercultural Explorations is a mandatory beginner level course when you study at Viaa for an exchange semester. There are no prerequisites, and the course will be offered during the spring semester of each academic year. 

What you will learn 

During the Intercultural Explorations course at Viaa, you will understand and apply several theoretical models for analysing culture. You will also learn to reflect on intercultural experiences concerning your personality. While learning to recognise intercultural experiences, you will also learn to use the potential learning opportunities during your stay in the Netherlands. The Intercultural Explorations course is a mandatory 100-level course and will be offered during the spring semester. During the course, you will have lectures, and learning team sessions coached by a team coach.
