Organisation and governance
Within Viaa, the organisation and the board are partly based on the principles and provisions of the Sector Code of Good Governance of the Association of Universities of Applied Sciences, the WHW and the generally accepted organisational principles.
One of the consequences of this is that there is a clear division between responsibilities, tasks and powers of (internal) supervision, administration and management. These responsibilities, tasks and powers are laid down in the Viaa Articles of Association as well as in the Management and Administration Regulations.
Executive Board
Viaa is administered by the Executive Board. Mr. D. Wakker MME is chairman of the Executive Board. The Executive Board is responsible for the preparation and implementation of the policy of Viaa University of Applied Sciences.
In addition, the Executive Board is responsible for day-to-day management of Viaa and its staff. The duties and powers of the Executive Board and the manner in which account is given to the Supervisory Board are laid down in the Administrative and Management Regulations.
Supervisory Board
The Supervisory Board supervises the performance of activities and the use of powers by the Executive Board and assists the Executive Board with advice.
The division of tasks and working method of the Supervisory Board can be found in the Supervisory Board Regulations.
