Viaa welcomes first group of Exchange students

Last week we welcomed several international students at Viaa Christian University of Applied Sciences. They do an exchange semester at Viaa to get acquainted with our country and the Dutch education system but also get a new perspective on their future profession.

This month, these students will take a crash course in Dutch, in which they will learn useful phrases and come into contact with Dutch culture. For example, they have already tasted typical Dutch products, they get a tour of the historic city centre of Zwolle, and they visit the recently renovated museum ANNO.

At the end of January, this group will be expanded with another sixteen (!) students from Norway, Denmark, Romania, Malta, America and Canada. This is a record number of international students for Viaa. During their stay, these 26 international students will visit various cities in the Netherlands, and they will have the opportunity to visit another city in Europe. In addition, the students were able to choose from a varied package of lessons.

For now, we welcome Jess, Aubrie, Nick, Maggie, Micah and Sam from the United States, Sarah and Theresa from Canada and Toni from Germany. Welcome!
