Viaa Exchange is an English medium semester program in Zwolle, the Netherlands, for international students. It features courses like Intercultural Explorations, Transcultural Care, Business, Theology and Dutch. It’s designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and collaboration between participants from around the world. Viaa Exchange takes place from mid-January until mid-May.

In general, students who sign up will complete a program that consists of a core, a track and one or more electives. Most students aim to complete 24-30 ECTS (12-15 American credits).

Transcultural and Interdisciplinary Care

• Intercultural Explorations* (12 ECTS)*
• Transcultural and Interdisciplinary Care (12 ECTS)
• And one (or more) of the following electives: Practical Theology, Dutch as a Foreign Language** or Research Project (each 6 ECTS).

International Business

• Intercultural Explorations* (12 ECTS)
• International Business (12 ECTS)
• And one (or more) of the following electives: Practical Theology, Dutch as a Foreign Language** or Research Project (each 6 ECTS).

*Mandatory course for all Exchange students
**Dutch as a Foreign Language is not available in 2026.
